28,577 VLEs On-Boarded by HDFC Bank as Banking Facilitators
CSC SPV and HDFC Bank have partnered to work for scaling up of financial inclusion in rural India. Under the engagement, 28,577 VLEs have been on-boarded as Banking Facilitators or Banking Correspondents of HDFC Bank.
As Banking Facilitators, VLEs are allowed to provide Fresh Account Enrollments and Loan Products. Services available through HDFC at Digital Seva Portal are as given:
- Savings Account
- Individual Current Account
- Proprietary Current Account
- Personal Loan
- Two Wheeler Loan
- Auto Loan
- Group Loan (SHG/JLG)Â
The engagement of all CSCs as Banking Facilitators would help in extending the financial services to citizens as well as improve credibility and sustainability of CSCs across the country. The agreement between CSC SPV and HDFC Bank was signed in the august presence of the Hon’ble Minister of Electronics & Information Technology Shri. Ravi Shankar Prasad on July 4, 2018.
