CSC to Jointly Develop Digital Services for Rural Areas
NEC Technologies India (NECTI) and Common Service Centre (CSC) e-Governance Services India Ltd on Wednesday announced a strategic alliance to develop and deliver new digital services for rural areas in India.
As part of the alliance, NECTI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the NEC Corporation, has decided to do an equity investment in CSC Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to become the third-largest shareholder.
“With this strategic alliance, our innovative technologies will unlock new opportunities and bring additional value to citizens, CSC operators as well as CSC SPV,” said Takayuki Inaba, Managing Director, NEC Technologies India. NEC and CSC SPV have created a joint-working group within CSC SPV to develop new, innovative digital services for use across various sectors, including finance, education and healthcare.
