Protection of Human Rights through CSC
Who protects your Right? National Human Rights Commission of India was set up for the protection of human rights by spreading awareness.Taking cognizance of complaints of human rights violations.
Issues on which complaints can be registered:
• Failure in taking action
• Unlawful detention
• False implication
• Custodial violence
• Illegal arrest, Other police excesses, Custodial deaths
• Encounter deaths
• Harassment of prisoners, jail conditions;
• Atrocities on SCs and STs;
• Bonded labour, Child labour, Child marriage;
• Communal violence, Dowry death or its attempt, dowry demand;
• Abduction, rape and murder
• Sexual harassment and indignity to women, exploitation of women
Who can file a compliant and where?
Victim or any other person on his behalf
Visit the nearest CSC centre and register complaint at minimum cost i.e Rs 30/ +GST.
