CSCs to Enroll Citizens under PMGDISHA, Education & Skill Courses during July 22 – 28
The Government is commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 2. 2019 at the national level to propagate his message.
In the run-up to the anniversary. all CSCs are to be involved in various activities every month till October with the objective of bringing focus on the vision of Mahatma Gandhi.
During July 22 – 28. CSCs are to carry out a week-long drive on PMGDISHA and Education & Skill courses among marginalized communities.
Through PMGDISHA and education/ skill development courses. CSC has been striving to empower citizens in rural areas and enhance their livelihood options.
Under this drive. VLEs will:
• Conduct drives for promoting digital literacy and education among marginalized sections like OBC/SC/ST and PwD candidates and enroll them under PMGDISHA and various Education/ Skill courses like NIOS open schooling. NIELET courses. IGNOU courses. Tally. Sarkari Pariksha training. Mechanic & Electrician’s courses. etc .
• Conduct awareness sessions on digital payments and digital payment platforms like Digi Pay. UPI. BHIM. etc. to promote transparency in the economy.
